As of February 6, 2009, the website Scoopt.com, which was designed for users to upload newsworthy photographs, will be closed to the public.

It was interesting to me that the State of the Media annual report (in this week's reading material) indicated that citizen journalism isn't living up to its advanced billing so far. I was surprised the report was so quick to declare disappointment. (Although I have my own skepticism about it.)
