    Tom: Jon Stewart's eviscerating of Jim Cramer last week convinced me that Stewart can be a serious journalist (though for the life of me I don't know why Cramer didn't push back). The above social commentators indeed used humor in wonderful ways. I recommend that you Google the New York Times' obituary on Buchwald. It's a classic.
